OTHER PROJECTS

1 InIstanbul Travel

This is the very first site I’ve worked on. InIstanbul-Travel is some sort of a travel blog, providing information for anyone planning to visit Istanbul. The website offers useful knowledge on all aspects: sights, accommodations, food, shopping, transportation and much more. Over 500 articles cover almost every important topic in detail. The website is aimed at anyone visiting Istanbul for the first time or anyone wanting to learn more about the city. It’s currently only available in German, but I’m working on an english translation.

2 InIstanbul Photos

This website is a photo archive with thousands of photos of Istanbul. Since I’ve been visiting Istanbul for years (several times a year), I’ve been able to compile a large number of photos. At some point, I decided to publish them on a website to make them accessible to everyone. All photos are free and can be downloaded and used. InIstanbul-Photos has a search form, so that you can easily find what you are looking for. The website is also linked to an Instagram account of the same name. Feel free to browse the site.

3 InIstanbul Shop

If you’re looking to purchase items related to Istanbul, you’ve come to the right place. InIstanbul-Shop offers interesting products, all related to Istanbul or Turkey in general. Here you’ll find Turkish coffee, authentic bath towels, spices, decorative lamps (mosaic lamps), cosmetic products, and much more. The product pages are also accompanied by useful information, so you can browse the page even without buying anything. I ship worldwide. Just browse the website and find what suits your needs.

4 InIstanbul Walls

As a small child, I was fascinated by Istanbul’s historic city walls. I still remember seeing them when I was about 10 years old. Their gargantuan size, the historic atmosphere and the millennia-old structure immediately captivated me. Years later, I decided to dedicate my master’s thesis at the university to this topic. On the website InIstanbul-Walls I’ve compiled some interesting information about the city walls. The site is currently under construction, so please be patient. But i am working regularly on the development.

5 InIstanbul Wiki

The InIstanbul-Wiki website is one of my favorite projects: It aims to create a website with valuable information on almost every aspect of Istanbul. Think of it as a kind of Wikipedia for Istanbul, with two key differences: First, the information is based on scholarly literature. Second, the articles are deliberately short and concise, allowing readers to absorb a large amount of information about Istanbul in a short time. The items also come with pictures and additional information, so check out the website and give it a try.
